Ever since I can remember, I have wanted a career in media. When I was seven years old, I had a two-inch, dark purple binder with numerous compartments and pouches that I would fill with rubber gloves, pens and pencils, a magnifying glass, and of course, a never-ending supply of paper. I was an investigative reporter. I would stealthily tiptoe around the house and neighborhood searching for a story. Whether I found one or not, my imagination always came through for me.
As I grew, I began to channel my curiosity into advertising. Now, years later I am even closer to securing my dream job in the advertising industry. There is no doubt that the advertising industry is changing, and the best thing we can do as students and professionals is to change with it. In May 2013, I began my Master’s degree in Web Design and Online Communication at the University of Florida where I spend my nights perfecting my skills in HTML and CSS. Not only does this make sense, but it is nothing short of exciting as I can now reach the consumers in this interactive domain.
I am eager to learn, create, and put my skills to use to achieve my lifelong goal as I let my imagination run wild, creating advertisements in a medium as limitless as the Web.
